Hello readers!
I’ve been on twitter for the past four months and have met wonderful folks doing great things for children and teens. Josh Shipp is one of those folks. Josh is dedicated to entertaining, inspiring and empowering teens. He’s written books, shared the stage with Bill Cosby, appeared on MTV, Comedy Central, NBC, FOX, TLC, and in the LA Times. He’s a spokesperson for the National Foster Care Month and has spoken to more than one million people. And Josh has an incredible ability to connect with teens. Part of that may be that he was abandoned and abused as a child and has used his past adversity to help others learn to triumph over tragedy as he did.
I’m a big Josh Shipp fan and in total agreement with him about one element: IDENTITY is the critical issue teens are facing.
Without a strong, authentic notion of who they are (that comes from the inside out) navigating that outside world is tough. The consequences of a flimsy selfhood can be horrific for a teen: eating disorders, stress, drinking, medicine abuse, depression, materialism are just a few. That’s why I’m supporting Josh and his BIG NEWS: “Josh in a Box.”

Here’s a quick explanation from Josh about his mission to change teens’ lives.
All the best, Josh!
As I explained the other day, the most critical issue teens and young humans are facing right now, in your homes, on your watch is the issue of IDENTITY. For teens, figuring out who they are, why they matter, and where they fit in the world is the BIG INNER QUESTION that drives every other outward action. For this reason, the whole issue of identity really lies at the core of nearly every problem typically associated with adolescence and the teenage years–problems like defiance or acting out or other forms of rebellion or risky, attention-seeking behavior. If you haven’t addressed identity, you’ll never “fix” anything else.
So, how do you help teens discover a sense of self that will guide them through the rest of their lives? I’ve spent the better part of a year working on what I think is the most comprehensive solution you’ll ever find. Without further ado:

So, here’s your homework: go to your calendar and mark October 21, 2009 as the day we’re going to make my “IDENTITY” program (a.k.a “Josh in a Box”) available. We’ll be opening the doors at exactly 3 p.m. EST (Noon Pacific). This program is literally the result of ten years of experience engaging with over a million teenagers and–I promise you–there’s nothing else like it on the market. I’m not going to lie, these were really expensive to make, so I only had a limited number of copies made, so when they’re gone, they’re gone.
P.S. If you’re NOT on my mailing list yet, you’re at a serious disadvantage right now for two reasons: 1) You haven’t seen or read or benefited from any of the exclusive content I’ve been GIVING AWAY for the last couple months; and 2) My mailing list is going to be the first to hear about all the cool stuff that’s going down between now and October 21, some of which is time sensitive, and some of which involves winning valuable free product. And CASH. Just sayin’, you might want to drop you name and address in the blue “Free Stuff” box on the right. **MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE LINK IN THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL AFTER YOU SIGN UP.** (If you don’t see a blue “Free Stuff” box, it’s cool; you’re already in). If you have any problems, contact support@heyjosh.com.
